Hey Blog, While working on my first CCR (editing on Premiere Pro btw) I've been trying to implement more multi-media forms of content so that its not just a static talking head.
During my filming I filmed a lot of short clips so that I didn't have to memorize long portions, this made the filming process quick but it led to having to work with a lot of short clips during the editing process. To avoid jump cuts I used Stock images and videos from Pexels.com, a website that provides royalty free high-quality images and videos to seamlessly transition between different clips and also create visual interest.

While creating the text, it was a little boring to just have the text so I decided to add a little texture to it. For this I looked up on YouTube.com and found a paper white background. I customized the opacity for it and changed the colors around until it contrasted well with the font, and then layered it behind my font to achieve a more interesting look.

One of the effects I wanted to get, was to highlight some words in my blog that were pertinent to what I said. And found this great link on YouTube showing how to create a highlighter effect on Premiere. It's surprisingly easy, i just had to create a color matte with a highlighter color, and then put that over my clip, adjust the cropping, add some feathering on the edges and badam, a pretty convincing highlighter effect. I used this to highlight important pieces of evidence be it from my Blog or an online source. I also used the paper background with a lower opacity as well as a Gaussian blur on the clip behind the graphics I included to blur out the background in a cool way that brings the focus to the graphics.
