Time to plan out how I am going to tackle this project!
Week one (2/10-2/16)
We are going to start off with week one, this week, my primary goals for this week are getting the primary idea figured out and doing genre research to ensure we meet conventions and our goals.
- 3 blogs
- Which project
- Schedule (this blog!)
- Genre Research
- Meet with group to lay out our vision for the project
- Go deep into genre research and find and research comparable films
Week Two (2/17-2/23)
For the second week I plan to continue doing more pre-production work, especially continuing with researching different media texts and genre specific content. I am gonna be looking for genre conventions and seeing how I can implement different norms into our production.
- 3 Blogs:
- Two posts analysing two real media texts
- One additional research post
- Likely focused on general genre research
- Continue to meet with group to discuss our genre findings and develop our plans.
- Create a rough storyboard and shotlist with the group based on our current research. This will be a blueprint over the coming weeks that will be revised as needed.
- Create a shared document based on each of our findings where we compile them into a few main takeaways.
Week Three (2/24-3/2)
This week I wanna shift towards researching more about the social media and marketing aspect of the project. I'll most likely start with research of similar films social media marketing campaigns.

Week Five (3/10-3/16)
During our first week fully dedicated to production, our goals are likely to do most of our filming, as by this point, if availability all works out, we should be ready to film. Additionally we are gonna work on the other components for the project such as the social media component.
- 3 Blogs:
- Two posts reflecting on the production process and any changes made
- One post researching print components related to our genre
- Aim to shoot the grand majority of our production in this week to have ample time for post-production and potential revisions.
Week Six (3/17-3/23)
By Week Six we should be ready to have filmed all of our scenes. We will focus on reviewing the footage we have in post-production and our goal is to have a first draft of our edit by the end of the week. Through this process of revision we will determine if we may need any changes or new filming to be made, which we will prepare time for this week if needed.

During the Spring Break week, as of now since all of our group will be available we wanna get the most out of this week and use it for editing and post-production, as well as doing our CCR, print component and anything else we need and having it all prepared with a solid margin for any potential revision.

- 3 Final Blogs:
- One post reflecting on the overall project experience
- One post linking the completed project
- One post submitting the final CCR
- Submit all final components onto blog
- Test all links
- Celebrate (and lament) the end of AICE Media :(
Although, a tiny bit aspirational (as all good schedules are), this schedule should at least serve as a good blueprint for us to follow. We may have a few changes here and there, but as of now, I see no reason why this schedule should not be able to be followed. I'm excited to get started on this project with my amazing group and see what we are able to create!
