After a very successful group meeting when we did it for
the first time a few weeks ago, Mr. closer asked us if we would want to do
another one. Most of the class enthusiastically responded yes and week we had
that second group meeting! Although I'm really glad we had this one too in all
honesty, I will say that it was a as interesting or enlightening us the first
one, as one would kind of expect. But it still brought a lot of interesting
insights and as always it was really cool to see what my classmates were doing
and it got me really excited about a lot of their projects and as always when
film makers and artists are interacting with each other, really cool stuff
happens, the interaction between all of the different ideas always ends up
bringing something new to the table.
As with last time where I made a Google Docs document to document what we discussed I suggested that we do the same, so I hopped on Google Docs made a new document shared it with all my group members and started noting down comments for each of our projects. Here's the link to my Google doc.
When it comes to comments that were made about my project one really interesting thing that was recommended was since there is use of diegetic music in my project, Mariano suggested that it would be really cool to implement that into the marketing campaign. Something that would be really cool with this would be something like a soundtrack companion, kind of in the style of what they did with spider verse or Barbie. For my personal experience and from seeing it out in the world and how viral all of those songs from those movies when and how much on especially on social media platforms those tie in songs helped to propel the marketing of the music of the movie to completely new heights. I really thought about using music in my marketing yet it's a short film it's not the music marketing project, but really his comment brought a lot of cool marketing ideas for me that would be really awesome to do.
