After our last blogpost me and Manuela realized that we had to LOCK IN.
Nicole was not in class... again (not mad just dissapointed). Soooo, we just
stopped dilly dallying and started going going going.
First order of business was our social media. So we hopped on to our beloved
loved favorite favorite favorite favorite favorite little website, Canva. I
don't know why it is that all of our generation seemingly adores and loves
canvas so we do and that's OK. But yeah we kind of decided it would be better
to put our social media on Canva instead of actually Instagram for a few
different reasons first of those is that social media just adds a lot of extra
complexity for us in terms of having to plan out posts and then not being able
to change posts later on and then having dates be messed up, and then if we
change something up it would complicate something else, it just seems like a
lot of unnecessary complexity for us. So instead since it's already your
favorite favorite favorite favorite website we just decided why not do it on
canva.
So first and foremost we found a template that would match um Instagram
style, basically emulate a phone screen. And the component is going to be in
basically 2 parts. The first part is going to be the actual front page I would
look all the posts on the little blocks so just if you were to click on the
profile and scroll through it. Each frame has the ability to be changed out for
an actual picture, so it's really simple. We have another document that's square
square where we make each post then we export those images and put them into
the frames and badoom badoom abracadabra we have our posts!
Second part second part is the actual expanded post themselves, so and here we also have frames where we can put in the pictures from the OST file in and then we have the ability to write out comments, captions, and likes. This is really essential to our campaign as it allows us to show our interaction with audiences it's not just we are uploading into the void, instead it's a real collaboration between our posts and audiences.
All of this setup should make it a pretty streamlined process to get all our posts done since its pretty drag and drop. We have a simple workflow. First hop on to the post document, the square one. Ohh that document make the actual post graphic, then export it. Upload it to the social media document that shows our actual simulated Instagram page plug that post into the timeline then plug that post into the post screen. Finally, add a caption hashtags and comments
