Hey blog last week one of our group members was out for a TV competition. As a result we wanted to kind of try to get our bearings back in order and have a call to catch her up on what happened last week because she kind of missed out on a week and a half of class and during those class times we had a few very crucial discussions one of those was like I discussed in my last blog the group meeting with different groups I think that one helped us get a lot of new perspectives and ideas for the project so it was just really important to get a call together to be able to catch back catch her back up with what's been going on and it was also really important to have this call so that we could organize the next few weeks which are going to be very crucial because one recent development is that my other two group members will not be here during spring break so any work that's going to have to be left for spring break I'd have to take on my own so we're going to try to get as much as done possible before spring break.
We gathered on FaceTime for a group meeting |
During this call we made a few additions to our
brainstorming document focused on scheduling plans for the project and future
action goals. One of the first things we want to recognize is to get a feeling
that we have the project under control. One important thing that we needed to
rectify this was ensuring that we got a script and a storyboard done as soon as
possible before we could do this however, we had to think about where we really
wanted to take this story right now it kind of feels like there's a bunch of
different ways that we can take the story and we're spoiled by choice and we
just need to get writing. The solution that we got to this was that each of
each one of us was going to take our idea of where we want the story to go and
write an outline add a plot structure then we're going to meet back up compare,
and from the comparison create a final plot structure slash outline that we can
turn into a full script and storyboard.
Next important order of business during this group discussion was our social media. Since the other group member was gone it feels like we got a little behind on creating our social media campaign so we're working to get that back in order as soon as possible. What we decided from that is that my other group member Nicole was going to spend the weekend working on our first post which was going to be from what we gathered in our research first posts are usually teasers that show the title coming soon a few other important details and generally just a bit of an idea of what's going on just a title a font that's kind of it.
Instagram Page we found to inspire our project |
We also created a bit of an outline for what our future post would be. The main things we discussed were creating teaser posts with writings on the bathroom wall we found an account from our school that actually showed um pictures of bathroom walls with different writings on them we thought following a similar idea to this could be a really cool way to tease the concept for our movie and kind of create audience engagement and intrigue our idea and what our movie is about then we also discussed more in line on posts which may be more traditional such as media directors meet the producers and as soon as we get filming making a lot of behind the behind the scenes posts looking at script writing, mise-en scene, creation are actors and other similar planning, production, and post-production elements.
