Story outline

After Last Post I had some homework. As we had decided I was going to see what my idea for this story was and make an outline based off of that. As a result I took what I had from our brainstorming sessions and what we had discussed with the other groups and got to work on making a story.

Word Document with story planning

In my story planning I ended up using the placeholder name sun and moon. Simply because in my story one of the characters is going to be more sunlike more outgoing more confident in their identity. And the other one's going to be more moon more in the night more obscured less bright, less confident.

When we get back to class next week I'm going to work with my group and see what they have written and this goes with the to see where exactly where we want to take our project and how we want to go about making our screenplay.

Last portfolio project I worked on celtx from my screenplay and I really like the website. This year I think I want to use the same website and also I might even write the screenplay before the full storyboard as I feel like this is the story that merits screenplay before storyboard. It's kind of a story that lies in the details, in the writing, and the things that are said between characters and the emotional impacts they create.

It's actually one of my worries for the film, it's kind of hard to show rather than tell when a big storytelling device is writing it's essentially letters because of the writings on the bathroom walls. Kind of actually having some doubts about the idea, is it possible to pull this off has a short film when the idea is so based on writing, are we going to do voiceover are we going to just not show a lot of the writing. I don't want it to be boring, but at the same time I wanted to still be complex and to fully develop the idea as we see the potential in it. Hopefully once I get to talk with my group again or iron out some of these worries and we'll be able to move forward.
